Do you have a disability? (an impairment in mental or physical functions)

If you suffered from a disability in 2024, and your doctor has certified your physical or mental impairment and can provide information regarding the nature, start, and duration of your impairment, you will qualify for certain disability-related tax credits (such as the Disability tax credit).

Note: The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) might ask for a signed statement from your doctor or nurse practitioner with the details mentioned above unless they already have an approved T2201: Disability Tax Credit Certificate on file.

Do you have dependants? If you have a dependant that suffers from a disability, you might be able to claim certain disability-related tax credits for them.
