Relevé 6: Québec parental insurance plan (RL-6)
You’ll receive a Relevé 6 (RL-6) slip from the Ministère du Travail, de l'Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale (MESS) for any maternity, paternity, parental, or adoption benefits you received (or you repaid) under the Québec parental insurance plan (QPIP) in 2024. Your RL-6 slip also shows the income tax that was deducted from these benefits.
The RL-6 is similar to the federal T4E slip (issued to Canadian residents outside of Québec), which shows the maternity, parental, or adoption benefits you received under the Employment Insurance (EI) plan.
Note: If you didn’t receive an RL-6 slip and you were expecting one, you can contact Travail, Emploi et Solidarité sociale Québec at 1-877-767-8773 or Revenu Québec at 1-800-267-6299 for your slip information. It’s also available through Revenu Québec's website, if you’re registered for their My Account service.
Where do I claim this?
Follow these steps in H&R Block's 2024 tax software:

On the left navigation menu, click the Government slips tab, then Smart Search.
- Type RL-6 or relevé 6 in the search field and either click the highlighted selection or press Enter to continue.
- When you arrive at the RL-6 page, enter your information into the tax software.
