How do I avoid re-submitting a return that's already been rejected?
If you filed your return using NETFILE and it was rejected, it is probably because certain information in your return didn’t match what the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and/or Revenu Québec has on file for you.
Note: If you believe that the Canada Revenue Agency has incorrect information for you in their records, please call them directly at 1-800-959-8281.
Before you try to NETFILE your return again, check the information you entered to make sure it is correct. Some of the common fields that can cause a return to be rejected are:
- First name and last name
- Address, including postal code
- Province of residence
- Date of birth
- Social insurance number
- Marital status
