Error code 606

You will see the following error message in H&R Block’s 2024 tax software if on the Statement of employment expenses (T777 & T777S) page, you didn’t enter the number of hours you used your home office for work during the period you worked from home:

You need to enter the total hours your home office/workspace was used for work during the period you worked from home. [error code: 606]

 

How do I fix this?

To fix this error, return to the T777/T777S page and under the Your home office expenses section, enter the total hours you used your home office for work during the period you worked from home in the following field:

• How many hours did you use your home office/workspace for work during the period you entered above? If the office/space is used 100% for work, enter 1
