Error code 605

You will see the following error message in H&R Block’s 2024 tax software if on the Statement of employment expenses (T777 & T777S) page, the square footage of your home office is more than the total square footage of your home:

The square footage used for your home office/workspace can’t be more than the total square footage of your home. You need to correct the amounts you entered. [error code: 605]

 

How do I fix this?

To fix this error, return to the T777/T777S page and under the Your home office expenses section, correct the amounts you entered in the following field(s):

• Square footage in your home used for your home office/workspace

• Total square footage of your home

The square footage of your home office can’t be more than the total square footage of your home.
