Error code 348

You will see the following error message in H&R Block’s 2024 tax software if, on the Contributions to the CPP or QPP (Schedule 8) page, you answered “Yes” to the question “Have you revoked your election?”, but entered a date outside the current tax year in the field “What was the date of that revocation?”:

The date of your revocation (to restart your CPP contributions) must be between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024. You need to correct the date you entered. If your revocation was not made in 2024, you don’t need to provide this information and can leave this field blank. [error code: 348]

How do I fix this?

Go back to the Contributions to the CPP or QPP (Schedule 8) page. Look under the section Election to stop or restart paying CPP and respond to the question “What was the date of that election?” in one of these ways:

  • If you didn’t revoke your election in 2024, leave the field blank

  • If you revoked your election (restarted your CPP contributions), enter a revocation date between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024

Note: You can find the Contributions to the CPP or QPP (Schedule 8) page on the Credits & deductions tab under Other.
