Error code 335

You will see the following error message in H&R Block’s 2024 tax software if, on the T5: Statement of investment income page, you entered a higher amount in box 16 (foreign tax paid) than in box 15 (foreign income):

The amount entered in box 16 can't be more than the amount in box 15. Please ensure you entered the amounts shown on the T5 slip correctly. [error code: 335]

 

How do I fix this?

On the T5: Statement of investment income page, adjust boxes 15 and 16 (from the drop-down list) to match the amounts shown on your T5 slip. If you want to delete the amount entered, click DELETE to remove the entry.

Note: You can enter your T5 slip on the Smart Search page under the Government slips tab on the left navigation menu. Type “T5” in the search and click Enter to continue.
