Error code 121

You’ll see the following error message in H&R Block’s 2023 tax software if you entered your taxable CPP/QPP benefit amount in box 20 of the T4A(P): Statement of Canada Pension Plan Benefits page but didn’t enter the corresponding disability benefit amount in box 16:

You reported taxable CPP/QPP benefits in box 20 on the T4A(P) page, so you need to report the amount of disability benefit in box 16, as shown on the T4A(P) slip. [error code: 121]

How do I fix this?

Return to the T4A(P) page in H&R Block’s tax software and enter the correct values in box 20 and box 16 of the page, as shown on your T4A(P) slip. If you didn't collect a disability benefit amount, enter 0 in box 16.

Note: You can enter your T4A(P) slip on the Smart Search page under the Government slips tab on the left navigation menu. Type T4A(P) in the search field and either click the highlighted selection or press Enter to continue.
